# Directions:
01 - Line a large baking tray with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
02 - Combine diced apple, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl and toss until evenly coated.
03 - On a lightly floured surface, roll puff pastry to an even 12 x 10 inch rectangle.
04 - Sprinkle grated cheddar evenly across the pastry surface.
05 - Spread spiced apple mixture on one half of the pastry, leaving a 1/2 inch border along the edges.
06 - Fold pastry over filling and press edges gently to seal.
07 - Slice pastry into 10 strips, gently twist each strip several times, and arrange on prepared tray.
08 - Brush the twists with beaten egg for a glossy finish.
09 - Transfer tray to a preheated 400°F oven and bake for 18 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
